It is one of the oldest college affiliated with <strong>Maa Shakumbhari University, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh<\/strong>. R.K. PG College Shamli was founded by efforts of <strong>Late Shri Virendra Verma<\/strong> (Ex Governor of Punjab And Himachal Pradesh), and <strong>Late Shri Udaiveer Singh<\/strong> (a prominent farmer) made a historic contribution by donating to 252 Bigha (99.58 acres) of agricultural land for the development of this college. Along with the great contribution of Verma family, every farmer of Shamli Cane Society contributed towards the construction of this college.<\/p><p>This college was established in <strong>July 01, 1958<\/strong> in old campus at Barkhandi. Since 2000-2001 it has been shifted to new campus at Karnal Road.
