Rashtriya Kisan Post graduate College, Shamli is a prestigious college of western Utter Pradesh to catering the higher education needs of both urban and rural areas. It is one of the oldest college affiliated with Maa Shakumbhari University Saharanpur. R.K. PG College Shamli was founded by efforts of Late Shri Virendra Verma (Ex Governor of Punjab And Himachal Pradesh), and Late Shri Udaiveer Singh (a prominent farmer) made a historic contribution by donating to 252 Bigha (99.58 acres) of agricultural land for the development of this college. Along with the great contribution of Verma family, every farmer of Shamli Cane Society contributed towards the construction of this college.
