The Faculty of Science was created with the inception of the college in the year 1958 with six departments of Physics, Chemistry Mathematics , Statistics, Botany and Zoology. Subsequently, Later on, in 1971 M. Sc. (physics) , in 1992 M.Sc. (chemistry) and in 2007 M. Sc. (Botany) have been added.
The Faculty of Agriculture was established in 1961 with a bundle of subject. The Faculty of Agriculture caters for contemporary skills in line with entrepreneurship and experiential learning to boost confidence towards commercial farming. An unique focus on practical learning through hands on agricultural practices, in the faculty owned farms. Faculty of Agriculture covers educational and scientific/research activities in the area of farming, fruit growing and horticulture, soil management, crop protection and food products, agricultural techniques, food technology and biochemistry and agroeconomics.
The Faculty of Self Finance introduced Bachelor of Commerce and M. Sc. (Horticulture) in 2006 as a separate discipline of study. Later on, in 2007 M. Sc. (Agronomy) has been added as a self finance course.
