About the Department
The Department of Dairy Science & Technology at Rashtriya Kisan (P.G.) College, Shamli is dedicated to education, training and research in livestock management and dairy production. The department offers Undergraduate and Ph.D. programmes, covering areas such as animal nutrition, breeding, dairy technology, milk processing and livestock health management.
With experienced faculty and practical-oriented teaching, the department emphasizes modern techniques in dairy farming, scientific animal husbandry and value addition of milk and milk products. Students gain hands-on experience through farm training, laboratory work and field exposure. The department also promotes research and extension activities to enhance productivity, ensure quality dairy production and support rural livelihoods.
