Common Facilities to Student

R. K. (P.G.) College Shamli has strengthened academic facilities in all fields.   The College has well equipped Labs.  All these laboratories are equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities.

 Library

The library of R. K. (P.G.) College Shamli is well stocked with latest books and periodicals.  There is a stock of about 30000 books in various disciplines like Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Engineering, Agriculture, Science, Economics, Information Technology, Health, Physical Education, Yoga, Life Science, Botanical Science, Zoological Science, Philosophy, Religion etc.

 Placement and Career Guidance

The central objective of the R. K. (P.G.) College Shamli is to match education with employment. The college has a Placement Cell which is very active and it works in association with the Placement Cell of CCS University or other universities and facilitates successful placement of the students in various Multinational Companies every year.

 National Cadet Corps (NCC)

The Motto of NCC is “Unity and discipline”. Unity means the oneness, irrespective of the caste, colour or creed. Discipline is the basic quality needed for all the youth of this Nation. The college and schools will issue a NCC certificate. This certificate has more validity. They will arrange NCC camps to make the people trained in the services of parades and military training in small arms. They have a NCC song ‘Ham sabh Bhartiya Hain’. The College has an Army Wing of NCC.  Our students participated in the Republic Day parade, National Level Camps and various social awareness programs. R. K. (P.G.) College Shamli has a Unit of NCC, as 85 UP Battalion. The incharge of this unit is Prof. Krishan pal.

National Service Scheme (NSS)

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Mohan Das Karam Chand Gandhi’s Centenary year, 24 September 1969. The motto of NSS is ‘NOT Me, But You’. This reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service and appreciation of the other person’s point of view and also to show consideration for fellow human beings. The college organizes regular NSS activities and special camps. The students are expected to work 120 hours in various service activities in a year.  The students of R. K. (P.G.) College Shamli have involved themselves in medico social service, AIDS awareness, community development programs, sanitation drives, blood donation, and cleaning and environmental awareness seminars and also in the celebration of national and international days such as Republic Day, Independence Day, and Women’s Day etc.  Camps are organized in rural areas on regular basis.  R. K. (P.G.) College Shamli has three units of NSS. NSS  Unit I, II and III  is handled by Dr. Mange Ram, Dr. Saurabh Kumar Panday and Dr. Chandrabali Patel respectively.

ROVERS and RANGERS or The Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG)

The Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG) is the national Scouting and Guiding association of India. The national headquarters of BSG is recognised by the Government of India. Scouting was founded in India in 1909 as an overseas branch of the Scout Association and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1938. Guiding in India started in 1911 and was amongst the founder members of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1928, also covering present-day Bangladesh and Pakistan at that time.

Scouting for native Indians was started by Justice Vivian Bose, Madan Mohan, Hridayanath Kunzru, Girija Shankar Bajpai, Annie Besant and George Arundale, in 1913. The first Girl Guides company was founded in Jabalpur in 1911 at Christ Church School The movement immediately grew: In 1915, more than fifty companies existed with a membership of over 1,200, all of them directly registered with the Girl Guide Association and all restricted to girls of European descent. These companies formed the All India Girl Guides Association in 1916. In the same year the organisation opened for Indian girls.  Dr. Rohit Rana is the incharge of this unit.

Financial Assistance: Scholarship

R. K. (P.G.) College Shamli is helping the SC/ST students for availing scholarships from Social Welfare Departments of UP Government. The students who are availing scholarship should compulsorily have a bank account in their names for encashment of scholarship.

College Magazine

A college magazine is a mirror of the college life. It reflects the literary, educational and sports activities going on in the college. It projects the important events celebrated in the college during a certain month or year. It also contains news about the college. Rashtriya Kisan P.G  College publishes its magazine ‘Gyan Jyoti’ annually. The college magazine has an editorial board which consists of two students of the college. These students’ editors make preparations for the magazine under the friendly supervision of the college faculty among the magazine editorial board. The Principal of the college is the patron-in-chief of the magazine. The student editors are thus guided by the professors and they receive their first training in how to publish a magazine. The college magazine is a comprehensive magazine as it contains valuable articles form the college teaching, Non-teaching staffs , Regular Students and from the ex-students, who want to convey about their successful career and about their interesting experiences. Thus a college magazine plays an important role in the life of college students. For old students, it revives their memories.
